SO WHAT?
  • A wise friend of mine has said each and every one
of us has a decision to make. We can choose to
be a part of the solution or a part of the
    problem.
  • Choose today to be a problem solver rather than
    a problem maker.

12
SO WHAT?
  • One of my previous bosses once told me that
There are a lot of jobs out there, but you have
only one family. Take care of them.
  • Is your home life as settled as possible so that
you can concentrate on work while you are at
    work?
  • Choose today to fix things at home.

13
SO WHAT?
  • Ive learned that attitude determines your
    altitude.
  • In other words each of us can be as happy as he
or she wishes to be. We are responsible for our
    own happiness.
  • I have often said, We can laugh or cry about
this, and I choose to laugh.
  • Choose happiness and choose to laugh.

14
My Expectations for You
  • Treat the kids as our 1 priority.
  • Treat others the way you want them to treat you
    with respect.
  • Listen twice as much as you speak.
  • Be a bold problem solver and not a whimpy
    problem maker.
  • Speak the truth graciously in front of others and
    not cowardly behind their backs

15
Federal and State Goals
  • We fill identify more infants eligible for Early
On services before their 1st birthday.
  • We meet the 45 day timeline from Early On
    referral to IFSP meetings.
  • We will place more preschool students in least
    restrictive environments this year.

16
Federal and State Goals
  • We will follow all requirements while identifying
    ECDD and OHI students.
  • We will significantly decrease our OHI numbers
until we no longer over-identify white OHI
    students as per OCR regs.
  • We will decrease our referrals from secondary
    schools by 75.

17
Federal and State Goals
  • We will complete our goal of instituting our
Child Study Investigation (CSI) process in every
    elementary building in the ISD.
  • We will create CSI style pilot sites for math
    this year.
  • We will create pilot sites for Get it, Got it,
    Go (preschool-like CSI) this year.

18
Federal and State Goals

    associated with
