Can Succeed
Prefatory Note The following training brief is
a conference edition piloted for the National
Prevention Network (NPN) Research Conference,
September 2000. It is provided to prevention
specialists for use in orienting prevention
practitioners and orienting lay audiences about
basic prevention concepts. These slides and
their associated talking points can help to give
a common understanding and script to prevention
practitioners who may further communicate these
ideas in their communities, such as in orienting
volunteers and civic leaders. This briefing can
be downloaded in Microsoft Power Point format
from the Center for Substance Abuse Preventions
decision support system web site http//www.prev
