- The Hardee Center for Leadership and Ethics in
Higher Education supports the academic study and
professional development of graduate students in
the higher education program at Florida State
University and promotes the Life Net of
students, alumni, faculty, and friends.

- The Center sponsors educational programs,
research, and service activities that promote
leadership and ethics in the field of higher
education. The Center also conducts educational
seminars, hosts national meetings and workshops,
sponsors research projects, and provides
consultation on issues related to higher
education leadership and ethics.

- The Hardee Center is named for Dr. Melvene
Hardee, a former FSU Professor of Higher
Education who was an admired educator, mentor,
and national leader on issues of gender equity,
leadership, values, and professional development
in the field of higher education.
7HARDEE CENTER FOR LEADERSHIP AND ETHICS IN HIGHER
EDUCATION
- Hardee Fellows--Higher Education graduate
students who achieve a 3.8 overall GPA and have
completed 18 credit hours at Florida State
University. - Hardee Fellows are named each fall at the Hardee
Center Stryker Lecture and Fall Symposium.
Fellows are eligible for Hardee Center travel and
research grants, where funding allows.

What can you gain as an FFMT Scholar?
- 4,000 a year for two years.
What are the requirement to become an FFMT
Scholar?
Must be Resident of Florida plan to teach in a
Florida public school.
Must have Minimum 2.5 GPA
Must be African-American, Hispanic/Latino,
Asian Pacific Islander, or Alaskan Native.
Can not have more than 18 hours of upper division
course work. Must be newly admitted into a
teacher education program.

pairs of finalists in the Performance Improvement
Competition held by AECT/PacificCorp. - Paul and Sookyung will compete in the final round
of the competition at the AECT conference on
