Title: The Holy Grail

1
The Holy Grail
  • By Glenn Cassedy, Bradley Spires, Casey Stewart.

2
The Last Supper
  • The Holy Grail was used by Christ at The Last
Supper. After the supper it was given to St.
Joseph of Arimathea. He used it to collect
    Christ's blood on the cross.
  • When Joseph was imprisoned in a rock tomb some
years later, he was sustained by the Grail for
    several years.

3
Constantinople
  • In the German romance, it is said to be a dish,
fashioned to imitate another. The difference is
that in holiness it has no flaw, and men found it
richer than any other object and called it the
    true Grail.
  • It was said to be found during the fourth crusade
and sent to Troyes by Garnier de Trainel.

4
The Holy Basin
  • It was originally said to be carved from emerald,
but it is in fact a green Egyptian glass dish.
  • It was sent to Paris after Napoleon conquered
Italy, but was returned broken. This proved that
    it was made of glass.

5
The Agate Cup
  • It is found in the cathedral of Valencia. There
is an Arabic inscription on the cup as well.
  • The first reference of the Cup is in 1399, when
it was given to the monastery by San Juan de la
Pena to King Martin I of Aragon in exchange for a
    cup of gold.
