Explication of the ogino methods
  • The first day of the menses is the first day of
    the menstrual cycle
  • The ovulation period liberation of the ovule by
the ovary ready for fertilisation. Its takes
place around the fourteen day before the next
menses. Certain phenomenon could make it vary one
or two days before or after. NB The ovulation
day is situated between the 12th and 16th day
before the next menses. (Therefore, the maximum
of five days where fertilization is possible)
  • The life span of the ovule is very short (24-48
hours and that of the spermatozoid (48-72 hours)

11
  • Considering the vitality of the ovule and the
spermatozoid, we add to the five days, 03 days
before ovulation and 02 days after ovulation
  • To be more sure, we add 02 days to each extreme
because we are working with the adolescents
