What are 30-Second Trainings?
  • 30-Second Trainings are sent as an interactive
    PowerPoint Show to targeted audiences via e-mail.
  • One of many options on a menu of training
    strategies and techniques for Navigators to have
    in their toolbox.
  • Designed to be fast, informative and entertaining
    to capture the attention of busy One-Stop staff,
    partners and/or employers.
  • Cover a wide-range of disability and employment
    related issues.

Ways to Use 30-Second Trainings
  • To introduce topics and information for the first
    time.
  • To send targeted information relevant to specific
    staff, partners, employers, etcvia
    e-mail/listserv.
  • As a stand-alone training.
  • To augment other more formal training.
  • To lead the end-user to a reputable internet
    resource where they can access more comprehensive
    information on the 30-Second Training topic.

Tips
  • Leave the statement 30-Second DPN Trainings are
    a National Disability Program Navigator
    collaborative effort. Please contact your local
    DPN to add a friend or colleague to this list.
    at the bottom of the 30-Second Training
    PowerPoint.
  • When saving/sending Be sure to distinguish the
    difference between PowerPoint presentation (PPT)
    and PowerPoint show (PPS) in the e-mail you send
    out.
  • You want to send the PPS!
  • Put your own e-mail address in the To category
    in the e-mail you send out with the 30-Second
    Training and put the e-mail addresses/listserv in
    the BCC category (Blind carbon copy).
