  Silesia. Our class masters name is Eva Bauerová,
  she teaches Math us. Some of us meet with her on

Karviná

• The district, industrial, spa and
  university town Karviná is divided into 9 parts
  with more than 68 000 inhabitants.
• The area of this town was settled in the
  13th century, the first document of the town was
  written in 1268. The part Fryštát became a town
  in 1327 and it was a big centre of crafts and
  commerce connecting Hungary with nothern Silesia
  and the Baltic area. It was very rich town, it
  has got a brewery and there were many inns.
• In 1776 the black coal was discovered in
  Karviná and this town and the whole region got an
  industrial character.
• The great number of historical objects are
  concentraced in the town square sacrals
  buildings, baroque plastics, gravestones of town
  owners, many interesting town houses of the 19th
  century, a tower, a fountain and a castle with
  National Gallery.
• There is a lot of trees in the town and
  many parks. You can start to walk in the park
  near the castle and you reach the spa park with
  many historical buildings and an old bridge.
