  mentioned as criteria.
• Course materials - timely preparation.
• Lecture, tutorial, laboratory or other types of
  practical session?

Classroom session

• Stimulation of interest.
• Independent learning - strategies?
• Behave normally - natural style.
• Any mechanism in judging the learning outcomes
  from the session?

Example Case-study session

• Observers were given the handouts.
• Case study topic to involve active student
  participation.
• The mechanism of stimulation of interest is
  inherent.
• The key is to provide the appropriate activities
  for students to participate.
• Assessment of learning outcome was judged through
  the oral presentations made by students.

Example Laboratory

• Scanning electron microscopy.
• Briefing was made to students on the details of
  the experiment, as well as the expectation of
  what to be learned.
• Stood back as observer provided assistance when
  required.
• Learning outcome measured on the amount of
  understanding of the experiment and the
  methodology employed through discussion.
