When is the funding needed?
  • Time line activity complete the worksheet for
    your own organisation
  • Example funding timescales
  • Grassroots fund deadline 15th Jan, decisions
    announced end Feb
  • Children In need deadline 15th Jan, decisions
    up 5 months later
  • Awards for all ongoing applications, but need
    to allow 3 months before project start
  • Christmas Fair takes 3 months to organise
  • Sponsored walk takes 1 month to organise and 2
    months after the walk before sponsorship money
    comes through
  • Council commissioning has strict deadlines for
    tender, but the contract may take 3 months to
    negotiate
