Introduction

• In the beginning, social life at Ryerson was
  astonishingly empty and filled with darkness

• Jewish students at Ryerson drove straight into
  class

• and then went straight home

• Eventually they learned how much nicer it was to
  take the subway

• but they still went straight home after school

Introduction

• In the Fall of 1998, one Ryerson student wandered
  into unknown territory to find a solution

• He discovered 33 pearls set in gold hidden in the
  secret tunnels of York University

• A year later, three others followed

• but Ryerson students were still sad

• Meanwhile, there was destruction at Yonge Dundas

(Spring 1999)

• Students were promised great things!

• As their favourite shops disappeared

• Some could smell a rat as promises were not
  fulfilled

• but there was an intrinsic connection between
  this new scenery and the hidden tunnels of York

• and one man realized this connection and came
  up with a plan

• In the Spring of 2000, the recently appointed
  president of the Jewish Student Association
  decided to begin the search for new members

• By September, students actually had reason to
  stay after school

• On September 19, 2000 a group of Ryerson students
  met at the Oakham House to form Ryersons first
  and only fraternity

• This guy came from out of town to help

• Upon finding that all the names they wanted were
  taken, the new Colony of Alpha Epsilon Pi was
  named Pi Rho

• For Ryerson Polytechnic University

  dragged up to Montreal
