What is a bulb?

• Definition

• A bulb is thickened, fleshy plant bud, usually
  formed under the surface of the soil, which
  carries the plant over from one blooming season
  to another

Planting Step 1

• Dig a hole about 5 deep.

Planting Step 2

• Place bulb in the ground with the pointy side up
• Measure using a ruler to be sure there is 4 of
  soil above the bulb

• Cover with soil and pat down

How do they grow?

• First the roots form and grow. Then the leaves
  appear followed by a bud.
