Title: Chandra Calibration Status
1Chandra Calibration Status
New calibration products releases since last CUC
meeting.
- ACIS
- Gain correction files for epochs 33 and 34 were
released in CALDB 3.4.5 (June 2008) and 3.5.0
(Sep. 2008). -
HETG
1. An order separation file (OSIP) for an ACIS
operating temperature of
T-110 C was released in CALDB 3.5.0.
2New HRC-S Gain Map using SAMPS and LETG/HRC-S
Background Filtering
3HRC-I Energy Resolution using SAMPS
4Updated HRC-S QE Uniformity Map
HRC-S QEU Version 3
HRC-S QEU Version 4
Absorbed power-law model fit to Mkn421
5Update on ACIS Filter Contamination
6ACIS CC-Mode Calibration
CC-Mode calibration continues using trap maps
appropriate for CC-mode data. This approach does
not require any new software.
ACIS Flight Grades

and ACIS spectral fitting results in the 2-7 keV
band for a sample of 7 clusters.
HRMA Calibration Projects
8Comparison of ACIS derived temperatures in a
broad band, a hard band and from the H-like to
He-like Fe K alpha line ratio.
9XRCF at MSFC
10Two corrections have been applied to the
predictions of the raytrace code since XRCF.

19Things to do
- Continue testing HRMA effective area models with
in-flight imaging and gratings data. - Adjust the HETG gratings transmission efficiency
and the HRC-S QE accordingly. - Validate the in-flight HRMA effective area model
with gratings and cluster data.
