Title: To Whom Shall We Go

1
To Whom Shall We Go?
2
Peter asked a question to Jesus and it is good
that we also should ask or make the same
question
Lord Jesus, unto whom shall we go?
Many disciples were living Jesus and they did not
want to walk with him any more, when Jesus saw
that, he asked a question to the disciples Do
you also want to go?
John 660-67
3
After explaining to the crowd that He was the
bread of life and after telling people that they
were looking for him not because of the signs and
miracles, but because of the physical bread that
they were eating. John 626.
Jesus is very disappointed because people were
looking for Him only for the material
things Today many people are looking for Jesus
but not because they really believe in Him, but
because they have a need that they want to
satisfy.
4
When they knew that Jesus was not impressed with
them many said "This is a hard saying who can
understand it?" John 660
Today many do not want to hear the truth, Truth
is a hard saying and many are in the position to
hear only sweet words, nice words that tingle the
ears
II Tim.43-4 3 For the time will come when they
will not endure sound doctrine, but according to
their own desires, because they have itching
ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers
4 and they will turn their ears away from the
truth, and be turned aside to fables. Isaíah.309-
11. 9 That this is a rebellious people, Lying
children, Children who will not hear the law of
the Lord 10 Who say to the seers, "Do not see,"
And to the prophets, "Do not prophesy to us right
things Speak to us smooth things, prophesy
deceits. 11 Get out of the way, Turn aside from
the path, Cause the Holy One of Israel To cease
from before us."
5
As a result of the truth that Jesus told, many
were the ones who moved away and they did not
walk with Him. In the same manner today, many
step aside and do not walk with Jesus anymore
because the truth is not pleasant for them.
Lord, to whom shall we go?
If it is not with Jesus, to whom shall you go.
6
After all there are two ways. Mat.713-14
13 "Enter by the narrow gate for wide is the
gate and broad is the way that leads to
destruction, and there are many who go in by it.
14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is
the way which leads to life, and there are few
who find it.
HELL
HEAVEN
Our decision regarding which door we are willing
to take will decide our eternal destiny. We
decide while we are in this life where exactly we
want to go.
We cannot base our decision in what the many do.
Exodus 232
7
There are not three waysonly two. We cannot walk
in both of them. We are not born in the way that
leads to destruction as many want us to believe.
We choose it when we commit sin. This morning we
need to choose unto whom shall we go?
Josue.2415 15 And if it seems evil to you to
serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day
whom you will serveBut as for me and my house,
we will serve the Lord." There are two lords -
we cannot serve both at the same
time. Matthew.624 There are two
destinies Mat.2541
8
Lord Jesus unto whom shall we go?
Many want to go into sin not knowing that sin is
death.
Rom.623. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but
the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus
our Lord.
9
Lord Jesus unto whom shall we go?
Many want to go to sin not knowing that sin will
separate us from God.
Isaiah. 591-2. 1 Behold, the Lord's hand is not
shortened, That it cannot save Nor His ear
heavy, That it cannot hear. 2 But your iniquities
have separated you from your God And your sins
have hidden His face from you, So that He will
not hear.
10
Lord Jesus unto whom shall we go?
Many want to go to sin not knowing that sin
enslaves man.
Romans.617. 16 Do you not know that to whom you
present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that
one's slaves whom you obey, whether of sin
leading to death, or of obedience leading to
righteousness?
11
Lord Jesus unto whom shall we go?
Many want to go to sin not knowing that sin makes
us hard and deceives us.
Heb.313. 13 but exhort one another daily, while
it is called "Today," lest any of you be hardened
through the deceitfulness of sin.
12
Lord Jesus unto whom shall we go?
Many want to follow sin not knowing that sin
deceives and kills every sinner.
Rom.711. 11 For sin, taking occasion by the
commandment, deceived me, and by it killed me.
13
Lord Jesus unto whom shall we go?
Many want to follow sin not knowing that sin in a
violation of Gods law.
I Jonh.34. 4 Whoever commits sin also commits
lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.
These are only a few things that sin does on us.
The one who wants to follow sin needs to
recognize what sin does and where sin is taking
us.
14
Lord Jesus unto whom shall we go?
This morning brother and friend I would like to
tell you that only Jesus has words of eternal
life. John.668. 68 But Simon Peter answered
Him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the
words of eternal life.
15
Lord Jesus unto whom shall we go?
Christ is the only way in order to get to heaven.
John 146. 6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way,
the truth, and the life. No one comes to the
Father except through Me.
16
Lord Jesus unto whom shall we go?
Christ is the only advocate that we have with the
father.
I John 21. 1 My little children, these things I
write to you, so that you may not sin. And if
anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father,
Jesus Christ the righteous.
17
Lord Jesus unto whom shall we go?
Christ is the only mediator that we have.
I Tim.25 For there is one God, and one
mediator between God and men, the man Christ
Jesus.
18
Lord Jesus unto whom shall we go?
Christ is the only one that has salvation for
us Acts 412. 12 Nor is there salvation in any
other, for there is no other name under heaven
given among men by which we must be saved."
19
II Corinthians.510. 10 For we must all appear
before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one
may receive the things done in the body,
according to what he has done, whether good or
bad.
