Overview

• Describes managed objects for modeling of Path
  Computation Element communication Protocol (PCEP)
  for communications between a Path Computation
  Client (PCC) and a Path Computation Element
  (PCE), or between two PCEs.
• The present architecture has support for the
  following
• pcePcepClientTable Contains information about a
  PCEP client(PCE or PCC)
• pcePcepPeerTable Information about PCEP peers
  known by Entities in the pcePcepClientTable
• pcePcepSessionTable A table of Sessions between
  PCEP clients
• pcePcepSessionUp pcePcepSessionDown
  Notifications to indicate PCEP session up/down

Changes and Progress

• Added the following objects in version -02-
• The SyncTimer,
• The maximum number of sessions that can be setup,
• Request timer amount of time a PCC waits for a
  reply before resending its path computation
  requests (potentially to an alternate PCE).
• The MAX-UNKNOWN-REQUESTS
• The MAX-UNKNOWN-MESSAGES
• Response time (minimum, average and maximum), on
  a per PCE Peer basis,
• PCEP Session failures,
• Amount of time the session has been in active
  state,
• Number of corrupted messages,
• Number of failed computations,

Open Issues

• Represent previous/ongoing path computation
  requests.
• Represent information regarding stateful PCE
  (section 6.8 RFC 4655)
• Represent too much information in MIB and make it
  complex?
• MIBs to be read-only or read-write?

Next Steps

• Define inter-relationships with various PCE MIB
  modules(draft-ietf-pce-disc-mib-03 and
  draft-ietf-pce-tc-mib-03 are unchanged and
  active).
• One implementation of PCE-PCEP-DRAFT-MIB is in
  progress .We need more customer input?
• Request to make draft-kkoushik-pce-pcep-mib into
  a wg document.
