Speranta Terrei
  • Started in 2004 and registered formally as NGO in
    Moldova in 2006
  • Based in northern city of Balti, where TB case
    rate of 95 per 100000 is higher than national
    average of 87 per 100000
  • Speranta Terrei translates as Hope of the Land
  • Two principal purposes promote awareness of TB
    and enable TB patients to complete treatment
  • Awarded the Tuberculosis Survival Prize 2008
