Contingent upon Funding!!
  • HB2 appropriates 2,485,900 from the General Fund
    for Summer Reading, Math and Science Institutes.
  • Governor Richardson has 20 days after the session
    to sign the bill (April 10).

Timeline
  • Requests for funding must be RECEIVED by the Math
    and Science Bureau by 500 pm on Thursday, April
    30, 2009.
  • Tentative awards made by May 15, 2009
  • Agreements finalized by July 1, 2009.
  • Programs conducted July 1, 2009 through June 30,
    2010
  • Evaluation report due to MSB June 30, 2010

  • Specifies fiscal agent and partners
  • Additional sheets okay if needed
  • Narrative Need, Program Description, Personnel,
    Management, Evaluation
  • Addresses guidelines clearly
  • 5 page maximum

  • Specify districts/schools that will participate
  • Date/location of summer institutes and follow-up
  • Listing major activities
  • Required assurances numbered as last 3 components

    budget forms
  • Attach justification/explanation of costs
  • 100/day maximum for stipends (THESE funds)
  • CHECK YOUR MATH!!!!
