  • To help students understand Pearl Harbor and the
    Pacific War from a wider range of perspectives
    than is typically taught in classrooms.

  • In groups students divide up images readings
    concerning the Pacific War from a variety of
    perspectives
  • Japanese American
  • Japanese-American Women
  • Black or Korean Hawaiian

  • Students read and react to these materials to
    demonstrate their understanding.

  • Students discuss their chosen articles with those
    who have the same one (color or number code the

    information and questions for counterparts in
    Japan/America.

  • Return to group and report on your article after
    each rotation.
