activities - That you submit a journal as evidence
- Professional registration is not a one off
occurrence it is a constant state

registration scheme - Regular review process is standard practice for
all professional registration schemes, regardless

elsewhere eg. UK, Australia
63. How does the process work?
- Every 3 years RLIANZAs are asked to submit
- a journal which records
- Professional development activities undertaken
- Learning derived from each activity
- a brief summary and reflection of individual
professional development during the 3 year period - a letter of verification from the employer or
another registered professional - You are notified 3 months in advance of when your
journal is due - Revalidation material must be received within 6

- Target is 3 domains across all 11 areas over 3

the criteria might not have been met, - your signature that the information is true and
correct - Include a letter of verification from your
employer or another RLIANZA
177. Some tips
- Record activities as you go.
- Develop a template to enable you to do this
quickly so that you can select the BOK and
transfer information to your journal later - A conference or weekend school can be many
activities, not just one. - Select papers which are most meaningful to you
and record these. - Networking at a conference can be of equal
importance. - Especially where learnings are applied or result
in other development activities eg visits - As far as possible, use reading, everyday
activities and LIANZA meetings as the basis of
your professional development. - Big training budgets are not essential
18.. more tips
- For each activity choose the BOK that appears to
be the best fit. - This is not an exact science and does not warrant
undue stress or time. - Consciously plan to cover areas of the BOK that
are of less immediate relevance or interest. - Read the BOK description and find an aspect that
interests you or could impact your work in future
so that you are prepared. - Keep entries brief and succinct.
- Look at the examples on the LIANZA website.
- The most important part of the process is your
reflection on what your learned and how you
applied this.
