3How it all began
- Until now we havent found a correct national
statistical number of children with learning
difficulty. However, according to the clinical
studies the Governmental Research Development has
done at four provinces in Indonesia, it had been
found out that10 of elementary school children
have writing problems (disgraphia, dispraxy)9
of them have reading problems (dislexia)8 of
them have math problems (discalculy)Language
problems havent been reported, but we believe
that they surely have it too even with a pretty
large percentage. This suggestion is based on a
book which stated that all kinds of ability and
academical knowledge (reading comprehension,
writing, math) comes basically from language
ability (G.P. Wallach K.G. Buttler) Ki

5Differences/Apartness
- Studies have shown that there are
Differences/Apartness in some children. This
kind of differences is further looked as Autism,
ADHD ( Attention Deficit Syndrom with
Hyperactivity), ADD (Attention Deficit Syndrom
without Hyperactivity), Asperger Syndrom, and or
children with sensory disorder. - All of these sickness isnt listed in the
governmental program for special need children
education.

- Considering the reasons above, at the end of 2003
we began the thought of building a place that
have the proper facility for these children.
After some up and downs, at March 2007 we have
finally built a place with daycare method, under
the central institution KLUB RUMAH ANAK. We call
it SENSO SCHULE, a german name for which its
method I Ratih Gandasetiawan, Dipl. Phy. T.,
founder of this institution have been using,
and passing, for the last 12 years in Indonesia.

12Main Activity
- SENSO SCHULE is actually a daycare place for
children with sensomotoric disorder, as it is the
center of communication and children behaviour
improvement. - It has 3 sensomotor programs (psychomotor,
visual-motor, audio-motor including
music-intervention) and graphomotor programs
(reading and writing comprehension) that supports
each other. - Its main purpose is to give the children a
special care as a bridge to a normal children
growth and life together with the more specific
purpose of supporting their emotion balance,
sensomotoric- and academical ability
13In the Psychomotor- Room, the children are free
to move. They get the fun, together with a lot of
experience and development.
14This child enjoys to construct rail train, his
concentration is being improved without having
the difficulty of finishing the task
151. DayCareA place to entrust children within the
age of 2,5 7 years old. It gives a clear
picture of our main purpose above and helps the
children to be able to socialize better with
their group of age. They will be given
sensomotor- and graphomotor programs 7 hours
daily.

children with sensomotor disorder, made for
teachers, pedagoghist, psychologist, and
therapist.
- 4. Public Information
- Through seminary, booklet dissemination,
radio/TV, and or a group gathering such as
Parents Support Group a place to share
experiences under psychologist and experts
guidance.
20Children are allowed to make noises while
learning new rhythmic in the Audio-Motor room
21Playing outside..
22..is more fun with all kinds of outdoor games to
play together
23Teachers are also having fun playing with the
children in the swimming pool
24Not only playing, but motoric movements are
practiced in the water
25Children are under constant guidance in this big
swimming pool
26Its fun once you are not afraid of water anymore
27Same thing goes here, in the deepest part of
the pool
28In the lunch time, children are learning to eat
properly by themselves
29Parents participation are more to welcome
30- 5. Last but not least Research Development
- A special department doing clinical studies to
anticipate the vast improvement of children
growth in Indonesia. It is created to become the
think tank of the whole need of Senso Schule.
31With the fun all day long and a full tummy, its
natural to take a nap before going home..
32..because the teachers need also some rest
