2Participants The BCEN and the PNCB recommend
that applicants have two years of full-time
experience in pediatric emergency nursing care.
Pediatric emergency nursing care as defined by
BCEN and the PNCB includes providing direct care,
health care facilitation, education, and advocacy
for pediatric emergency patients and their
families. This may be obtained by working at
least 1,000 hours per year caring for pediatric
patients. Registration/Fees ENA members
225.00 All others 275.00 Registration fees
include handouts, Lunch, breaks, and contact
hours. Registration is limited to 30
participants. NO spaces will be held without

CPEN Review The CPEN (Certified Pediatric
Emergency Review) is a comprehensive 2 day review
to assist the RN in preparation to sit for the
CPEN examination. Topics Presented The following
concepts are integrated throughout the review
course and appropriate to the stated task

and injury prevention, Communication, Discharge
teaching, Growth and development, Collaboration
