  • Indoctrination
  • I must conclude by saying that this was a VERY
positive experience and frankly, the most
directly job related training that I have
    received since being hired.
  • Valuable training. It was good to see a
structured approach to teaching in GA aircraft.
Both the FTD and the aircraft were in good
condition and were effective trainers. The
instructors were very good and experienced at
what they do. The very BEST part of this course
was the last 4 days "How to give a checkride."
After all we came here to gain our own
proficiency and learn the FAA way to give
    checkrides.
  • Light Twin Refresher
  • Great!! Good course, competent instructors with
good people skills. Very nice facility and well
    maintained fleet of aircraft Outstanding!
Excellent balance of flight training device and
airplane. Hopefully a little more time can be
added. Excellent course. Long overdue. The
facilities and professionalism of the staff was
also excellent. I learned a lot. Thanks!
  • I have attended numerous LTR courses over the
last eighteen years. The one that I attended in
, from January 10 to 19, 2006 was the best one
yet! The trouble with the LTR course has always
been that it didn't address the inspectors needs
accurately. The course which was offered at the
Academy was good, but the Flight Training Device
creates a much more thorough program. The
opportunity to practice a given exercise in the
simulator prior to flying it in the airplane is a
    good approach.

  • Having completed the TAA Course , I wanted to
thank you for putting together an excellent
course! It was as demanding as any type rating
course I have taken and with any challenge that
is worthwhile, I came out of the course feeling
like I actually accomplished something! I even
feel like a real pilot again! The course
objectives were right on track, as at the end of
the course I felt competent to operate the
system, evaluate an applicant using this system,
and have the confidence to get myself out of any
situation that may be presented during a check
ride. Thank you for a course that is not only
relevant to my job, but may also save my life.
  • I am moved, after attending the TAA course to
express to you the absolute elegance and
nearly-perfect execution of that course. The
course objectives of being able to conduct an VFR
and IFR trip, evaluate applicant performance, and
    deal with applicant incompetence or
incapacitation are a trio of objectives that
should not be separated. Each is essential and
the elimination of any one would gut the course
and render it ineffective. The course is a
challenge for those who need to benefit from it.
Students will sweat, experience discomfort, deal
with frustration. These are not to be avoided
for they are indications that learning is
happening. Bravo to you for providing an
opportunity to sweat, be uncomfortable, and
frustrated. Beyond a doubt, your course will one
day save me from injury or death as an inspector
doing the job. That puts sweat into perspective
    for me.
