Transportation
22Transportation Idea New Vehicle Concept
23System Advantages
- High passenger capacity
- High average speed
- Positive passenger image
- Image of reliability
- Zero emission
- Electrical traction
- Flexible around obstacles
- Easy integration into existing infrastructures
- Low noise emission
- Can cope with steep grades
- Proven and reliable
24Key Issues of Mega Busses
- Vehicle weight and length requires a
multi-axle-drive design - Better/safer driving performance, less slip and
slide - Longer lifetime of axles and differentials
- Less wear of tires
- Higher availability due to redundant equipment
Electrical multi axle drive is strongly
recommended!
