Types of Guarantees
Types

• Loan Portfolio Guarantee Covers risk to a lender
  on a portfolio of infrastructure loans that have
  not yet been originated
• Loan Guarantee Pre-identified lender and
  borrower
• Bond Guarantee Partial guarantee to bond
  investors, can cover limited first-loss or
  pari-passu.
• Portable Guarantee Commitment Letter from USAID
  to borrower helps borrower obtain financing that
  is ultimately guaranteed by USAID.
