Lets Review.
  • Over the past few weeks we have been
  • studying about our national symbols. We
  • have completed many different activities
  • dealing with the symbols of our nation. I
  • hope that you have learned a lot because
  • now I want to see how much you have
  • learned. We are going to take a look back at
  • some of the things we have learned.

  • A patriotic symbol, such as a flag, stands for
    the ideas in which people believe.
  • A landmark is an important natural or
  • human feature that marks a location
  • A statue is a monument built to honor or
  • remember a person, an idea, or an event.
  • A monument is built to honor a person or an event
    in history.
  • A memorial helps keep the memory of a person or
    an event alive.

  • The 2nd activity we completed was the
  • PowerPoint Presentation. In this activity you
  • created a Symbol Fact Book as well as a
  • PowerPoint Presentation over four United
  • States Symbols. You also were given the
  • opportunity to use your imagination to create
  • a new U.S. symbol.

  • You used that website to find interesting
  • facts about the symbol of your choice. You
  • also had the opportunity to recreate that

  • completed the independent art project dealing

  • your symbol.
