- The energy you get from food is measured in
calories. When Carl Lewis was in college, he
skipped meals during the day. Then he would run
out of energy. This prompted Carl to think about
nutrition. He began to eat more during the day
to give his body the calories he needed to keep
his energy up. - Carl Lewis learned he must eat regularly to get
energy.
