12Key Decision Points impacting Everyone
- Military Pay is an HR function pay changes will
be triggered by per updates/S1 owns Mil/Pay - One 44C20/30 will augment Deployed or Deploying
Bdes - Training is concentrated on Distance Learning
- -DIMHRS Administrator training tentatively
started 11 Aug 2008 (PDSI-G6) - -T3/Change Agent Training is scheduled to start
6 Oct 2008 (PDSI-G5) - There are two pay cycles per month (no option for
once a month) - -Allotments can be disbursed every pay cycle or
once a month - -Bonuses and incentives are paid on paydays
- -Pay in DJMS is not current- Soldiers Pay

after) - All documents will be electronically
signed/routed digitally signed - DIMHRS will not pivot off SSN - All Soldiers will
have an Employee ID Number - All users must possess an AKO email account NLT
90 days prior to IOC (EmplID delivered thru AKO)
13Key Decisions (For Leaders)
- Business processes will change (Procedures vs
Policy) - All Soldiers must be briefed on DIMHRS (DIMHRS
101) NLT 30 days prior to IOC - Commanders must assess their ability for
Soldiers to access computers within their
organizations (may require computer purchase for
Self Service Mgrs) - Disconnect Ops relies on PSDR provided VSAT
- The Army will begin reporting preparedness to
implement DIMHRS on 15 Sep 2008 and every 15th of
the month (Reporting tool will be web-based with
limited access) - - Soldiers briefed (DIMHRS 101)
- -Sufficient equipment at each unit
- -Number of specialists and managers that have
been trained - -Percent of Soldiers with a valid AKO account
- -Status of realignment of MILPAY Resources
-

15Where We Need your Support
- 1) Ensure your communications network is
working- Change Champion/Agent Network - 2) Be aware of DIMHRS benefits to the Army and
support implementation. Understand why we are
implementing DIMHRS - To improve readiness
- To increase responsiveness to operational
Commanders and Soldiers - COTS product with very little modification (It
will work- but we must be prepared for the
Business Process Changes. ) - 3) Develop your organizations
training/implementation strategy (DIMHRS impacts
everyone) - When will training be scheduled ?
- Which of the available training methods will be
utilized ? - Assess the impact of DIMHRS on your organization,
its business processes and SOPs how can you
leverage the new capabilities and technology in
DIMHRS? - Ensure your organization is properly engaged to
realign the MILPAY mission from FM to HR
ownership - 4) Prepare in Advance
- Personnel Asset Inventories
- Unit Commanders Finance Report (UCFR)
- Ensure Soldiers, Commanders, Supervisors, DA
Civilian Contractor HR Providers are prepared
for implementation
16Checklists
Checklists are used to ensure Personnel Actions
are completed in a timely manner.
Checklists enable HR Specialists and Commanders
to monitor the status of Personnel Actions such
as
- Mobilization
- Retirements
- PCS (Permanent Change of Station)
- In/Out Processing
Using a checklist ensures that each step involved
in the particular procedure is completed to
standard.
Failure to use a checklist may cause a number of
problems including the delay of pay and Personnel
Actions.
