Abstracts

• Spreadsheet is a typical end-user programming
  tool.
• The spreadsheet programming is effective in the
  raster image
• analysis education.
• I have developed the education materals. Element
  of the materials are as follws.

Data set for WIPS
1) Landsat TM images Band 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and
7 2) Topographical maps Digital elevation model
(DEM) , Slope, Aspect, Sunlight incidence angle
3) Vegetation maps Actual vegetation map
(1978-1985), Land cover map
WIPS is supported by many CSV dataset. Figyre
shows a sample of the dataset on the Web browser.
There are 13 images a specified area.

WIPS control panel
WIPS control panel has some image operation for
analysis of remote sensing image. Student can
obtain to current worksheet by one-click, and
also can analyze by push of click-button.

Example of image analysis using WIPS
The histogram shows vegetation distribution
characteristics respect to DEM, slope and aspect
angle.
