choices may not be changed after Friday, August

take an English, Math, Science and Social Studies
course. Levels include Regular, PreAP and Gifted
and Talented. PreAP PreAP courses will be
offered in English, Math, Science and Social
Studies and are open enrollment. PreAP courses
are designed to challenge motivated students and
prepare them for success in college level course
work in high school and in college. These courses
typically move at a faster pace, are more
academically challenging, and require more
independent learning and more homework than
regular academic courses. Math Improvement and
Reading Improvement are required courses for
students who need additional instruction in the
subject(s). Placement will be based upon TAKS or
standardized test scores. Each of these courses
will take the place of an elective. Please
prioritize your elective choices carefully.
