- The NGfL networks has been designed to support
Numeracy and Literacy. - Numeracy can be supported using software, ILS (RM
Maths) and resources from the Internet.

- On Drive T on the NGfL networks there are many
Claris Works templates for supporting numeracy -
KS 1 and KS 2 spreadsheets, pattern and shape
and data handling resources. - Demonstration

- Phase 1 and 2 of NGfL received Screen Turtle.
- Phase 3 are using SuperLogo as will Phase 4.

- All schools received a single license of
Developing Number. - This license can be upgraded to a network licence
for 50 from ATM.

- At the moment this ILS is only available to Phase
2 schools. - Research by Lancaster University has proved that
children who use this program will make
significant gains and they will gain even more if
the teacher uses the diagnosis tools built into
the system.

- Using ICT to support mathematics in primary
school - This is a package from the DfEE which has a
variety of activities to support number. - Need the latest version of Internet Explorer
(5.5) to the run the software. Corrects errors on
the Internet.

- This excellent program has been installed onto
Phase 2 and 3 networks. - A collection of data files for this program will
be stored on the Bradford Edunet website. - Demonstation

- There are now a number of excellent programs
which build on the effectiveness of white boards.

area where there are lots of different pieces of
software which can be downloaded. They are listed
under Projects and are in Software to support
NGfL. - Demonstation

- Giftal Project
- The Giftal Project is an email project for year 5
which runs in the 2nd term. Messages containing a
problem are sent to individual children. - (Space Quest runs in the 3rd term for years 3 and
4) - A new project will be developed for year 6 -
