  young people.
• A new school year has arrived.
• Many difficult challenges lie ahead
• Intimidation, nervousness fear are feelings
  often felt by many students.
• The devil will be at his best trying to take full
  advantage of these vulnerabilities Let us take
  heed!

Purpose In Your Heart

• Now is the time to prepare yourselves for the
  temptations that will come.
• Daniel 18
• But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would
  not defile himself with the portion of the kings
  delicacies, nor with the wine which he drank
  therefore he requested of the chief of the
  eunuchs that he might not defile himself.

Work Hard

• Laziness is a temptation for many students,
  especially if there is no motivation to apply
  yourself.
• Hard work is a biblical principle.
• 2 Thessalonians 310
• For even when we were with you, we commanded you
  this If anyone will not work, neither shall he
  eat.

Do Not Cheat

• Cheating can sometimes be so easy it is done
  without any consideration.
• Do not be fooled Cheating is sinful!
• Copying plagiarism are dishonest.
• Proverbs 111
• Dishonest scales are an abomination to the Lord,
  but a just weight is His delight.
• Job 316
• Let me be weighed on honest scales that God may
  know my integrity.

Pick Your Friends Wisely

• It is in our power to decide who it is that we
  will associate with.
• We must not unite with the ungodly!
• 1 Corinthians 1533
• Do not be deceived Evil company corrupts good
  habits.
• Ephesians 511
• And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works
  of darkness, but rather expose them.

Listen To Parental Advice

• Yes, parents were your age once too!
• Heeding the advice and counsel of your parents is
  usually not whats popular.
• Colossians 320
• Children, obey your parents in all things
• Proverbs 1920
• Listen to counsel and receive instruction, that
  you may be wise in your latter days.

Walk Worthy In Dress

• The latest styles and fashions are not always
  best suited for the Christian.
• 1 Thessalonians 212
• that you would walk worthy of God who calls you
  into His own kingdom and glory.
• 1 Timothy 29
• in like manner also, that the women adorn
  themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and
  moderation

Walk Worthy In Speech

• Watch what you say and how you say it. Remember
  to think before you speak!
• 1 Thessalonians 212
• that you would walk worthy of God who calls you
  into His own kingdom and glory.
• Colossians 38-9
• But now you yourselves are to put off all these
  anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language
  out of your mouth. Do not lie to one another,
  since you have put off the old man with his
  deeds.

Do Not Follow The Crowd

• Peer-pressure is very real.
• Sex, drugs, alcohol are temptations for even
  the youngest among us.
• Exodus 232
• You shall not follow a crowd to do evil
• 1 Corinthians 1013
• God is faithful, who will not allow you to be
  tempted beyond what you are able, but with the
  temptation will also make the way of escape, that
  you may be able to bear it.

Always Carry Your Bible

• Taking your bible with you everywhere you go
  makes a statement about who you are and what is
  important to you.
• Your history textbook will not tell you how you
  can get to heaven.
• Take up the whole armor of God!
• Ephesians 613-17
• Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that
  you may be able to withstand in the evil day

Honor Your Commitment

• If you are a Christian, you have made a
  commitment to be different from the world honor
  that commitment.
• Numbers 302
• If a man makes a vow to the Lordhe shall do
  according to all that proceeds out of his mouth.
• Galatians 327
• For as many of you as were baptized into Christ
  have put on Christ.

Obey The Gospel

• If you have not yet become a Christian, you do
  not have Jesus on your side to help you overcome
  the difficult days that lie ahead why not die
  with Christ today?
• Romans 61-11
• Do you not know that all of us who have been
  baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his
  death?
