Title: Starting Over Again
1Starting Over Again
- Joseph, David and Elijah
- (Gods Timing)
2And he said to them, "Please listen to this dream
which I have had for behold, we were binding
sheaves in the field, and lo, my sheaf rose up
and also stood erect and behold, your sheaves
gathered around and bowed down to my sheaf." Then
his brothers said to him, "Are you actually going
to reign over us? Or are you really going to rule
over us?" So they hated him even more for his
dreams and for his words.
3Now he had still another dream, and related it to
his brothers, and said, "Lo, I have had still
another dream and behold, the sun and the moon
and eleven stars were bowing down to me." And he
related it to his father and to his brothers and
his father rebuked him and said to him, "What is
this dream that you have had? Shall I and your
mother and your brothers actually come to bow
ourselves down before you to the ground?"
(Genesis 376-10 NAS)
4Thus Jesse made seven of his sons pass before
Samuel. But Samuel said to Jesse, "The LORD has
not chosen these." And Samuel said to Jesse, "Are
these all the children?" And he said, "There
remains yet the youngest, and behold, he is
tending the sheep." Then Samuel said to Jesse,
"Send and bring him for we will not sit down
until he comes here." So he sent and brought him
in.
5Now he was ruddy, with beautiful eyes and a
handsome appearance. And the LORD said, "Arise,
anoint him for this is he." Then Samuel took the
horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his
brothers and the Spirit of the LORD came
mightily upon David from that day forward. And
Samuel arose and went to Ramah. (1 Samuel
1610-13 NAS)

Elijah I alone am left and they seek my

stand on the mountain before the LORD."
12And behold, the LORD was passing by! And a great
and strong wind was rending the mountains and
breaking in pieces the rocks before the LORD but
the LORD was not in the wind.
13And after the wind an earthquake, but the LORD
was not in the earthquake.
14And after the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was
not in the fire and after the fire a sound of a
gentle blowing. And it came about when Elijah
heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle,
and went out and stood in the entrance of the
cave.
15And behold, a voice came to him and said, "What
are you doing here, Elijah?"
