Detection algorithm

• Simple threshold based detection
• As DC biasing of the signal is not constant,
  threshold decided on average value of signal
• Define window size N 4
• For each window,
• Sumsum x(i1)-x(i)
• AvgSum/N
• threshold Avg2
• If (x(i1)gt threshold) detected1
• Else detected0.

Problems and future work

• Sensor not producing any variation with actual
  vehicle passing without applying external
  magnetic field
• With external field sensor gets saturated
• Position of the sensor (below or side of vehicle)
• Designing algorithm for congestion
• Flow rate (no of vehicles per unit time)
• Speed of the vehicle
• Time duration between adjacent vehicles
