What exactly is a school counselor?
  • We assist students in course selection and
    scheduling, evaluating career and educational
    options, planning for college, managing personal
    concerns, etc.
  • We respond to parent questions/concerns regarding
    classes, testing, graduation, post-high school
    planning, and personal issues, etc.
  • We assist teachers and administration.
  • We are willing to help out at any time!

Course selection process
  • Program of Studies distributed in Spring.
  • Scheduling process is important!
  • Please review your childs selections with
    him/her.
  • Call us if you have any questions!!

Course Changes
  • Students must maintain 6 credits per year
  • Swaps for different courses or elective changes
    will not be honored once the school year begins
  • Deadlines for dropping courses
  • Full year course by quarter 1
  • Half year course by first progress report
  • After these deadlines Students will receive W
    or WF on their permanent transcript

  • 7. Encourage Daily Attendance
  • Limit 24 times in a full-year course
  • Limit 12 times in a semester course
  • In case of class-cuts limits are lessened by half
  • 2 tardies to period 1 equals 1 absence
  • Please excuse absences and tardies by calling the
    main office, then send in note upon return
