• Nehemiah 96 You alone are the LORD. You made the
  heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their
  starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the
  seas and all that is in them. You give life to
  everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship
  you.

Review

• God created bara and energized the entire
  universe
• Days of creation were literal 24 hr days NOT long
  periods of time
• Adam disobeyed God plunging the entire human race
  into sin
• Estimated pre-flood population of 10 billion
  people (5-17 billion)
• Highly sinful preflood civilization were corrupt
  morally and spiritually

God is Looking

• 2 Chronicles 169a For the eyes of the LORD
  range throughout the earth to strengthen those
  whose hearts are fully committed to him
• Ezekiel 2230 I looked for a man among them who
  would build up the wall and stand before me in
  the gap

The Men God raised up

• Enoch walked with God God raptured him

Genesis 524 Enoch walked with God then he was
no more, because God took him away.

Hebrews 115 By faith Enoch was taken from this
life, so that he did not experience death he
could not be found, because God had taken him
away. For before he was taken, he was commended
as one who pleased God.

Preaching of Enoch 4,000 years agoHe spoke
about the second coming of Jesus Christ!

• Jude 114-15 Enoch, the seventh from Adam,
  prophesied about these men "See, the Lord is
  coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy
  ones 15 to judge everyone, and to convict all the
  ungodly of all the ungodly acts they have done in
  the ungodly way, and of all the harsh words
  ungodly sinners have spoken against him."

The Men God raised up

• Methuselah when he dies, it shall be sent
  969 yrs old

1 Peter 320 who disobeyed long ago when God
waited patiently in the days of Noah while the
ark was being built. In it only a few people,
eight in all, were saved through water, 2 Peter
39 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise,
as some understand slowness. He is patient with
you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone
to come to repentance.

The Men God raised up

• Noah found grace righteous blameless

Genesis 68-9 But Noah found favor (grace) in the
eyes of the LORD. 9 This is the account of Noah.
Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the
people of his time, and he walked with
God. Hebrews 117 By faith Noah, when warned
about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an
ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned
the world and became heir of the righteousness
that comes by faith.

The Earth God destroyed

• Genesis 613 So God said to Noah, "I am going to
  put an end to all people, for the earth is filled
  with violence because of them. I am surely going
  to destroy both them and the earth.
• Global temperate climate, no rainfall watered
  with springs dew
• Large mass of gentle land topography no rugged
  mountains
• Billions of people and all living creatures on
  earth (excluding fish)

The Ark God instructed Noah to build

• Genesis 614-16 14 So make yourself an ark of
  cypress wood make rooms in it and coat it with
  pitch inside and out. 15 This is how you are to
  build it The ark is to be 450 feet long, 75 feet
  wide and 45 feet high. 16 Make a roof for it and
  finish the ark to within 18 inches of the top.
  Put a door in the side of the ark and make lower,
  middle and upper decks.

• Noah spent 120 years in building and preaching
• Made of gopher wood?? rooms literally cells/
  nests/ stalls
• Pitched inside and out perfect covering,
  atonement
• Dimensioned perfectly for stability 450long,
  75 wide, 45 high

• Build a door in the side an 18 opening down
  from the roof
• Three decks totaling 97,700 sq ft or 1,500,000 cu
  ft or 522 boxcars
• Calculating all known extinct animals average
  size of a sheep
• No more than 60 of the arks capacity would have
  been used

The Occupants God saved

• Genesis 618-22 18 But I will establish my
  covenant with you, and you will enter the
  ark--you and your sons and your wife and your
  sons' wives with you. 19 You are to bring into
  the ark two of all living creatures, male and
  female, to keep them alive with you. 20 Two of
  every kind of bird, of every kind of animal and
  of every kind of creature that moves along the
  ground will come to you to be kept alive. 21 You
  are to take every kind of food that is to be
  eaten and store it away as food for you and for
  them." 22 Noah did everything just as God
  commanded him.

• All living creatures including dinosaurs,
  giraffes, elephants, etc
• Two of every kind Male female, plus seven of
  clean animals
• God brought the animals to Noah Gen 79,15
  (migratory instincts?)

• Considerations for food, water, bedding, waste
  (hibernation?)
• Eight people saved Noah/wife his three
  sons/wives

Jesus is our Ark of Salvation

• John 316 For God so loved the world (Dave) that
  he gave his one and only Son (Jesus who died for
  you), that whoever believes in him (from the
  heart not head) shall not perish (in hell) but
  have eternal life (in heaven).

Today

• God saves souls of men
• God seeks committed Individuals
• God works in response to our faith
