Ministry Vision

• Agape Baptist Church Mens Ministry (ABCMM)
  exists to deliberately equip Christian men to
  faithfully practice Bible based principles and
  reach out to other men with the love of God so
  that Christian men become the epicentre of
  all-round development and discipleship for the
  glory of Jesus Christ.

Ministry Objectives

• By the end of 2007
• Equipping and empowering 100 of ABCs men to be
  men to of godly character, confidence and
  compassion in this sin-ridden world.
• Mobilizing 100 of ABCs men for ministry to each
  other.
• Mobilizing 100 of ABCs men to reach other men
  outside ABCs reach.

Ministry Goals

• In order to fulfill its objectives, the following
  goals have been set
• Challenging and encouraging men to follow the
  example of the Lord Jesus Christ through Monthly
  Mens Breakfasts during which Bible study,
  discussing realities of issues on practical
  Christian living is done.
• Building mutual accountability among men through
  practicing the concept of accountability pairs
  which meet at least once every week so that they
  can share deeply and pray on very personal
  issues. This is based on trust, confidentiality
  and respect with resultant growth for the
  members. This is intended to augment
  mentoring/coaching relationships among the men.

• 3. Mens Care Groups Over three years time,
  sets of three to four Accountability Pairs will
  develop into Mens Care Groups through which each
  Care group will have monthly meetings in the
  members homes on a rotational basis for
  fellowship, discussions, prayer and to work on
  issues that are of a strategic nature both for
  business and ministry.
• 4. Each group will document presentations for the
  benefit of the members and the development of
  resource materials for the Agape Baptist Church
  website in four years time.

• 5. In a years time, there will be enough
  ministry growth to start quarterly regional mens
  gatherings around Kampala city for vision sharing
  and building of mens ministries in other
  evangelical churches.
• 6. In three years time, ABCMM intends to start
  Mens Annual Conventions (MACs) that will serve
  as a celebration to climax a series of evangelism
  and discipleship programmes. This will create a
  high profile for the men in ministry and place
  men in position to reshape the image of
  Christianity especially among their non-Christian
  counterparts.

Ministry Achievements

• Monthly Mens Breakfasts during which Bible
  study, discussing realities of issues on
  practical Christian living is done have been held
  since January 2007 with the purpose of
  challenging and encouraging men to follow the
  example of the Lord Jesus Christ through. The
  attendance participation has been excellent.
• The concept of accountability pairs which meet at
  least once every week so that they can share
  deeply and pray on very personal issues is
  picking up. Trust, confidentiality and respect is
  growing among the members.
• 3. Plans for the first Kampala Area Baptist Mens
  Breakfast is slated for October 2007 and Agape
  Baptist Church is at the helm of the preparations
  with the vision sharing and building of mens
  ministries in other Baptist churches.

Ministry Challenges

• Ministry Facilities The great response to the
  ministry calls for acquisition of portable tables
  and chairs for small group discussion sessions.
  There is also need for games and sports equipment
  to facilitate special outreach and
  body-stewardship programmes.
• Funding Whereas monthly collections have been
  good, larger contributions are needed to
  facilitate a richer men's ministry.
• Prayers Realizing the strategic nature of this
  ministry, we are calling for prayers for
  sustained energy, focus and passion for
  envisioned outcomes.
