Why Virtual High School

• VHS students time after time share that they feel
  more comfortable expressing themselves in online
  VHS class discussions, where disability, social
  status, racial and even gender differences are
  not as evident as they would be in a traditional
  classroom.
• VHS teachers often express that their VHS online
  professional development training helps improve
  communication and enhance learning opportunities
  for students in both their online and
  face-to-face teaching experiences.
• VHS schools embrace the opportunity to join VHS
  to augment professional development training
  options for their teachers and to instantly
  expand their array of core, elective, AP and
  Pre-AP courses for students.

Who can be involved
with Virtual High School

• Students who take personal responsibility for
  learning is important for success in Virtual High
  School (VHS).
• Students are responsible for meeting assignment
  deadlines and contacting the instructor if they
  need assistance.
• VHS courses often require strong problem solving
  skills.
• Basic Computer Knowledge
• Strong writing skills
• Cooperative learning
• Strong reading ability
• Does not have to be an A student

  entirely over the internet?
• Enjoy small class sizes and low student to
  teacher ratios
• Engage in unique collaboration opportunities with
  peers from around the world
