What is Servant Leadership?

• People who choose to serve first, and then lead
• It begins with the natural feeling that one wants
  to serve, to serve first.
• The Test do those served grow as persons?
• The concept of servant leadership in the west can
  be traced back, at least partly, to Jesus'
  teachings on leadership.

Whats the outcome?

• The entire patrol performs better smoother,
  more fun, more adventure, more achievement
• At the end of your service, patrol members are
  better friends with each other

For example . . . ?

• Five steps of Stewardship Delegation
• DESIRED RESULTS a clean patrol site
• GUIDELINES everything put away, gear is neat,
  no trash in our area, patrol towel rack lashed.
  We are not done as individuals until all patrol
  work is done.
• RESOURCES We all work PL will help by focusing
  us ASM available to help with lashing
• ACCOUNTABILITY The PL will invite the SPL or
  ASPL to our site for inspection if he says
  were good, we are good.
• CONSEQUENCES (good bad) Once we get done, we
  play the game we want. If we are slow to get
  this done, we will miss the patrol competition,
  or even be late for our meal
