  • Following the Morris worm incident, which brought
10 percent of internet systems to a halt in
November 1988, the U.S. Department of Defense
charged the SEI with setting up a center to
    coordinate communication among experts during
security emergencies and to help prevent future

Quote from Jesse Schell, CEO Schell Games,
Lecturer/Asst. Prof. at ETC (MSIN Class of 1993)
  • The thing to understand about the INI is the
opportunities it's going to give you. Yes, you're
    going to have world-class educational
opportunities, you're going to be able to take
the greatest classes from the greatest
instructors, and you're going to be side-by-side,
shoulder-to-shoulder with people who are going to
go out and change the world. However, the main
thing to understand is the freedom you're going
to have to make the program be whatever you want
it to be. Almost anything you can think of, you
can make it happen at the INI if you want to."
