How to see a doctor
  • (1) Make an appointment with the health center _at_
    morewood (free visit)
  • (2) Talk to nurse or physician in the center. If
you get seriously sick or the physician cant
find out the reason, they will referyou to the
closet hospitial (generally UPMC) and help you
    make appointment as well.

34
  • (3) Bring your health insurance ID card when you
go the off-campus hospital appointment. The
medical expense will first be billed to your
insurance company, which will pay the portion
according to the insurance benefit. And the rest
part will be billed to you through the hospital.

35
  • It is not necessary to go through (1) (2) if
you have a primary doctor here. But for foreign
students. (1) -gt (2) -gt (3) is usually the way we
    follow.
