Objectives

• Cosmics Run, CMS Closed Field ON - Mar 2008
• Initial CMS detector ready to take cosmics data.
  Use to commission and operate the detector and to
  prepare the Collaboration for data taking and
  analysis.
• Working backwards ? by end-September 07 Tracker
  insertion has to have started and in December 07
  be recording cosmics with Tracker/EB/HB etc.
  (Expt open)
• Including one EE, and pixels
• 14 TeV Collisions Mid-2008
• Low luminosity CMS detector commissioned and
  ready for efficient physics data taking, the CMS
  Collaboration trained and ready for analysis of
  data at 14 TeV
• including both EEs, and pixels
• Two parallel paths
• 1. Detector Installation, Commissioning and
  Operation.
• 2. Preparation for Analysis - Computing, Offline
  and Physics
