- A word that shows the relationship between a noun
or a pronoun and another word in a sentence.
2Prepositions rarely work alone. They are almost
always found with nouns or pronouns, forming a
group of words called a prepositional phrase.
For Example
Dad is in the garage.
in is the preposition
in the garage is the prepositional phrase
Prepositional phrases give added information
about nouns and verbs.
