Program description Interdisciplinary, cross
campus and colleges program administered by the
Graduate School through the Health Sciences/
COMPH. Four core courses (molecular to behavior)
and four advanced courses (developmental,
molecular, neuroimmunology, seminar) taught by 39
members of the faculty. (avg enrollment, 8-10)

32 current students (16 domestic, 16
international) 60 faculty members almost all
have active funding (review criteria) Support for
1st and 2nd year provided by program (about to
change)

  • Expand with the emphasis on biomedical research
    at OSU and bring along new areas (mathematical
    bioscience institute, engineering and physics,
    behavioral and cognitive). Will this spread us
    too thin?

    (Emory model, SCI group at OSU) that emphasize
    program strengths. Will this leave people out?
  • Focus on student-to-student mentoring and
    provide better orientation and centralized
    seminar and social opportunities to build
    cohesiveness.
  • More personal recruiting efforts by faculty and
    students.
