Purpose of CBAs
  • CBAs are diagnostic tools used for gathering
    information to make appropriate instructional
    decisions, such as
  • Identification of campus needs
  • Effectiveness of instruction
  • Teacher planning

  • Prescriptive lessons addressing the areas of need
  • After-school tutorials
  • Saturday Classes
  • Integrated skills classes in the middle school

Purpose of CBAs/Mid-Assessments
  • In essence, CBAs/Mid-Assessments give the
    teacher additional, detailed information about
    students performance, which, guides the type of
    instruction designed and implemented, ultimately
    leading to higher student performance.
