Basic Ways to Search

• Authors Name
• Book Titles
• Subject

Author Search

• Type in the authors last name.
• If there are other authors with the same last
  name, you will need to select the one you want.
• Spelling counts!

Title Search

• If you know an exact book title, you can search
  by title.
• A, An and The at the beginning of the title can
  be omitted (left out).
• If your title does not match the ones in the
  catalog, you will not get matches even if the
  library has the book.

Subject Search

• Enter the topic you are looking for.
• Think of other words that might be used for your
  subject and search by those to get better
  results.
• Not all books are easily searched by subject.
• Find the general area on the shelf and browse the
  books to find what you want.

Keyword Searches(Any Word)

• Keyword searches work well when you arent sure
  about the exact title or subject words you need.
• The more you limit the search, the better your
  results.
• Very general searches give BIG results and make
  it hard to find what you need.
