Handling of FM-PMTs at the MPE

• All aspects of the MPE PMT incoming inspecting
  concerning
• the recently at DJO observed problem of
  falling-off flying leads
• visual inspection
• verify that all pins are properly connected to
  the flying leads
• verify that flying leads and bonds are intact
  using a magnifying glass
• some PMTs with missing or additional flying leads
  were found
• mechanical stress during electrical test
• mounting of PMT into the electrical measurement
  setup

• never a flying lead came off during this
  procedure

• The PMT flying leads are thread into the mounting
  helper disk
• Difficult procedure
• during this procedure larger mechanical stress
  could not be avoided
• BUT never a flying lead came off (valid for all
  240 FM PMTS)
