Assessors

• The process starts with the Township Assessors.
  There are different Assessors for each of the
  different townships. The Assessors look over
  your property and determine the value.

• Once a value is determined, the Assessors work
  hard to get the figures to the County Auditor.

Auditor

• The County Auditor enters the information
  received from the Assessors into the computer
  system and sends the information to the State.

The State determines a rate based on the budgets
of each taxing unit and the information from the
Auditor.

County Treasurer

• The County Treasurer is the key to the collection
  process.

Information is sentto the printer.

After printing, bills are returned to the
Treasurers Office to make sure the information
is correct.

After approval, the bills are mailed out.

The Treasurers Office works to collect the taxes
before the deadline.
