• Duke Ellington was born 1899 and died 1974. He
  was a very good man. He had his own jazz band.
  His first concert was in New York City. There
  were 14 people in the band. He also was the
  greatest composer, song writer, and band leader.
  His band became a hit in1925. He started to play
  the piano at 7 and became pro at 17. Thats
  pretty much it.
