• Still the only method of transferring pupil level
  Common Transfer Files
• We may still use this site from time to time, and
  let you know when we use it
• Will be replaced with new DFES website called
  COLLECT, which is being trialled next year

• 10,000 pupils go missing each year nationally
• Over 1,500 pupils moving between schools every
  year in Southwark alone
• 70 schools have files to download
• Many schools have produced no transfer files at
  all
• Each transfer file is a record that a pupil is
  still in education.

• Pupil tracking processes monitored by EWAS
• Visits for all missing children
• Serious child protection issue if student out of
  school

• Not being done consistently by all schools
• OFSTED will start monitoring pupil tracking
  through in inspections
• Completing this is evidence for OFSTED Self
  Evaluation Form (Section 1C)
• Supports CTF process

• Same user name and password as School to School
  (S2S) website
