• A test score on an exam is determined by
  combination of two factors

1.The knowledge you possess
2. Your ability to take a test or cope
with exam
Learn both to enhance your scores on any exam!

ATTITUDE TOWARD TESTING

• Acquire the skill to control anxiety
• Think positively
• Be physically fit
• Learn how to take a test
• Know your strength and weaknesses related to
  taking a test

A deliberate, methodical, and relaxed approach to
test-taking will be more productive than an
excited, tense, and rushed approached.

FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS

• Listen to the directions carefully
• Ask questions or for clarification
• When reading the directions know what each of the
  words means as it relates to the exam
• Know how to mark the answer sheet
• Most people lose points by not asking for
  clarification when they dont understand

ATTACKING DIFFICULT ITEMS/GUESSING

• Stay alert, dont let a difficult item ruin your
  continuity
• Know whether guessing is advisable
• Know the probability of getting an answer right
  when guessing
• Have a plan of action in mind when attacking a
  difficult problem

TEST TAKING TIPS

• Get a good nights sleep.
• Have a good breakfast and lunch.
• BE POSITIVE. You can do it!
• Try hard and dont give up ever!
• Know that every answer counts!
• There is no penalty for guessing.
• Guess INTELLIGENTLY!

• Use 50/50 to eliminate dumb answers.
• Double check your right answers.
• Know whether the test is timed or un-timed.
• Read the questions before you read the paragraph
  or the problem.
• Underline key words but if the test is timed,
  dont waste time on underlining.

• Take your time.
• Go back and check the passage for the answer if
  you cant remember something.
• Know that the easy answers are mixed in with the
  hard ones.
• Listen to the directions carefully. Ask
  questions or for clarification.

• Use all of your knowledge to deduce the correct
  response.
• Look over the whole section quickly before
  beginning to work on it.
• Dont let a difficult item throw you!
• Stay alert, dont let the sound in the room
  distract you. STAY FOCUSED.
