13How does the NEW CL Manual Work?
- For each club role a TM undertakes, the club VP
of Education assigns an evaluator who provides a
written evaluation. - A verbal evaluation is optional at the clubs
discretion (due to limited meeting-time.) - If verbal evaluation is required (in addition of
to written evaluation), it can also be given
outside the club meeting-time.
14New Manual and Mentoring
- Many clubs assign a mentor to each new member
joining the club. - With the introduction of the new Competent
Leadership manual, it becomes more important that
a mentor be assigned, to guide a new member
through the 10-project Competent Leadership
manual. - Rejuvenate the mentor program at your club.
15Two-Year Grace Period
- Since the requirements for awards are changing,
there will be a two-year grace period for those
working toward the current Competent Leader
Award. - TI will continue to issue Competent Leader awards
under the current requirements through June 30,
2008. - Beginning July 1, 2008, all members will have to
meet the new requirements.
16New Manual a marketing tool !
- The new Competent Leadership manual provides a
new opportunity for membership retention as well
as new membership attraction. - Use it to bring structure in your club in
performing various club-roles.
